An object that lives in the space between art and design: part sculpture, part table lamp, part green goblin.
This project wasn't about making a lamp. It was about experimenting and having fun in the workshop. One experiment explored whether molten pewter could be poured onto wood to create inlays. The results were surprisingly beautiful, and I immediately knew I had to use this technique as ornamentation on something, which led to the creation of this table lamp.
The lamp shade is crafted from cotton thread and hand-cast pewter trinkets, another happy outcome of playful experimentation.
